Working Holiday Maker Visa Work Rights
In Australia every worker has the right to a safe and healthy work environment.
Your employer must provide you with a safe workplace free of bullying, harassment and discrimination.
People working in Australia on a Working Holiday Maker Visa (subclass 417 & 462) are entitled to the same pay and work conditions as Australian residents and citizens.
If you want to live and work in Australia, you will need to apply for a visa first. The type of visa you apply for will depend on your skills, experience and current circumstances.
More information about Visas
To receive an income in Australia, you need a Tax File Number (TFN). Income includes wages or salary from a job, payments from the government, and money earned from investments including interest on savings accounts.

In addition to a Tax File Number you will also need to set up a bank account. This is a simple process; many Australian banks will allow you to open a bank account before you arrive to Australia.
